ENVIRONMENTAL ART AND INSTALLATIONS

ARTISTS STATEMENT

Having found my true vocation as an artist in middle years
I experience a sense of urgency to re-create
new ideas before they fade quickly into the past.

Residencies and workshops regularly enhance and inspire my own creativity. Sharing my skills is an immense pleasure, so offer this service to schools, groups, and festival events.

Movement and flight have been a consistent theme, from the story of Yeannoh, mythical dragons, and the experience of sailing in all the elements.

Wind and Willow installations became a most satisfying expression,  a peaceful and liberating development in my work.

The theme of flight continues, with a progression into willow forms representing the journey of life to the empty nest syndrome, culminating in freedom of movement, expression and peace.

2009 A change of location and less free time stilted the creative flow.

However workshops, storytelling and a development of environmental art programmes for 2010 have kept me busy.

Video: 'Walking Wind Walk'

Connects the Kentish hills where the artist grew up, and the welsh landscape where she currently resides....and walks.

The flags billowing on willow sticks, respond to the ever changing elements,
as the wind manifests itself in the ephemeral translucence.

Respect for the Tibetan freedom, flight and spirituality

A collection of movement, a wave, cloud  the sea,

an elemental response to the ever changing elements.
