ENVIRONMENTAL ART AND INSTALLATIONS
|
ARTISTS STATEMENT Having found my true vocation as an artist in middle years Wind and Willow installations became a most satisfying expression, a peaceful and liberating development in my work. The theme of flight continues, with a progression into willow forms representing the journey of life to the empty nest syndrome, culminating in freedom of movement, expression and peace. 2009 A change of location and less free time stilted the creative flow. However workshops, storytelling and a development of environmental art programmes for 2010 have kept me busy.

Video: 'Walking Wind Walk'
Connects the Kentish hills where the artist grew up, and the welsh landscape where she currently resides....and walks.
The flags billowing on willow sticks, respond to the ever changing elements,
as the wind manifests itself in the ephemeral translucence.
Respect for the Tibetan freedom, flight and spirituality
Video: 'Crossing Oceans'
A collection of movement, a wave, cloud the sea,
an elemental response to the ever changing elements.
